Bramble Fee £4.5 Million - Ipswich Town News
Newcastle United have revealed that they paid Town £4.5 million for Titus Bramble, below most estimates of the previously undisclosed fee.
As a Public Limited Company Newcastle are obliged to declare all costs. A statement this afternoon said: "The Directors of Newcastle United PLC are pleased to announce that agreement has been reached with Ipswich Town FC for the transfer of the registration of defender Titus Bramble to Newcastle United for a fee of £4,500,000."
The deal is still likely to involve clauses relating to future appearances and possibly England caps, however, many fans will be disappointed that one of the club's most promising players has left for under £5 million.
