Owner Evans Invites Season Ticket Holders to Free Pre-Match Event - Ipswich Town News

Town owner Marcus Evans has written to season ticket holders inviting them to an event in the FanZone prior to the game against Nottingham Forest at Portman Road on Saturday 16th March.

Fans will be given a free pie and drink, Bryan Hamilton will interview former players and manager Paul Lambert and general manager of football operations Lee O’Neill will also speak. Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis with all 10,200 season ticket holders having been emailed this morning.

Evans says the event is to "increase the levels of communication between the club and its fans” as well as appreciation of "the commitment you have made to the manager, players and the club in its entirety this season and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your most valued support”.

The initiative is the latest in a number of moves aimed at improving relations between fans and the club. Earlier this month a number of regular away supporters were offered VIP hospitality for a match, while matchday prices have been cut for several games.
