England U17s Win - Ipswich Town News
This afternoon England won the Nationwide U17 Youth Tournament at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford. A 1-1 draw was sufficient against the Brazilians as Bowditch's solo display in the previous match had secured the points.
Dean Bowditch was on the bench in the most part as England are well-blessed in the forward positions at this level. However after Brazil equalised he was brought on for the last 12 minutes but received little of the ball.
Dean can be proud of what he achieved in this competition, as even though John Peacock the England coach switched the team around each game, Dean played a part in all three, with him playing all 80 minutes against the Czechs and scoring those wonderful two goals.
