U23s Stage Late Comeback to Draw at Barnsley - Ipswich Town News

Kai Brown and Idris El Mizouni were on target as Town’s U23s came from two goals down late on to draw 2-2 at Barnsley this afternoon and extend their lead at the top of the Professional Development League Two South table to eight points.

The hosts were 2-0 in front at the break via Tai-Reece Chisholm and Jordan Barnett but Brown pulled one back on 79 then El Mizouni rebounded a penalty which had been saved three minutes later to claim a point.

The side coached by Gerard Nash and Chris Hogg is now eight points clear at the top of the table with second-placed Crystal Palace having been thrashed 5-1 by Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough this afternoon. They have four games left to play.
