Jackson Aiming for Repeat Performance - Ipswich Town News

Blues striker Kayden Jackson will be looking to emulate his impressive second-half display at West Brom when Town face Bristol City at Ashton Gate this evening.

Jackson, 25, came off the bench as the Blues drew 1-1 at The Hawthorns and put in what manager Paul Lambert said was the striker's best performance since he came to the club.

The £1.6 million summer signing from Accrington was also pleased with the way the game went for him, although rues missing chances which could have secured the Blues all three points.

"Against West Brom was one of the first times in a while where I actually enjoyed being out there on the pitch and I think that showed in the way we played against a team that are fourth in the table,” he told the club site.

"We probably deserved to win. If I’d taken one of the chances I had, we would have done.

"Whenever you have a decent performance, you have to look to take it into the next game and that’s what I’ll be doing if I get the opportunity tonight.

"I thought I did okay against West Brom but not well enough because I didn’t get the goals that would have won us the game.”

Jackson looks set to start this evening with Collin Quaner having limped off at half-time at West Brom.
