A young Town reserves side notched-up a notable victory against Neil Thompson's League-newcomers Boston last night. Matt Bloomfield scored a first half winner after fine work from striker Steve Burton.

The Blues' second string won their previous pre-season game 9-2 at Saffron Walden Town.
