Five Could Win Caps - Ipswich Town News

Alan Judge, Jonas Knudsen, Andre Dozzell, Flynn Downes and Armando Dobra could all win caps later today.

Judge’s Republic of Ireland face Georgia in their second European Championships qualifier in Dublin with the 30-year-old Blues attacker looking to win his sixth full cap having been a sub as they won 1-0 in Gibraltar on Sunday (Sky Sports Main Event, from 7pm).

Knudsen, 26, will hope to be involved as Denmark take on Switzerland in Basel in their first European Championships qualifier away in Basel.

The defender, who is likely to be a sub having been among the unused players on the bench during Thursday's 2-2 draw in Kosovo, will win his seventh cap if he makes it on to the field.

Midfielders Dozzell and Downes are with the England U20s squad which is in U20s Elite League action against Portugal in Penafiel.

Dozzell, 19, has previously been capped three times at U20 level, while Downes, 20, has made one appearance for Paul Simpson’s side.

On-loan Chelsea man Trevoh Chalobah, 19, who skippered as they were beaten 3-1 by Poland on Thursday, has been withdrawn from the squad due to injury.

Dobra, 17, who recently signed his first pro deal with the Blues, is currently away with the Albanian U19s squad and won his first cap when he was in the starting XI as they drew 1-1 with North Macedonia in a home friendly in Korça on Sunday.

The two teams face one another again today, this time in Ohrid, North Macedonia.
