U23s Beaten at Leeds - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U23s fell to a 3-0 defeat to a strong Leeds United side at Elland Road this evening.
While the Blues included only Barry Cotter with league experience, the home side fielded first-teamers Adam Forshaw, Gaetano Berardi and Izzy Brown. Clarke Oduor, Berardi and Ryan Edmondson netted the goals.
Town started a trialist, Aston Villa youngster Ethan Patterson, at the heart of their defence.
The Blues’ U23s have already secured top spot in Professional Development League Two South, while Leeds have confirmed that they will finish first in the North section. Both teams will play at home in the play-off semi-finals.
