Elder Returns as U23s Host Watford - Ipswich Town News
On-loan left-back Callum Elder returns to action for the Blues’ table-topping U23s this afternoon when they take on Watford at Playford Road (KO 1pm).
Elder, who joined Town from Leicester in January but has made only three senior appearances, recently underwent a hernia operation.
The U23s, who will again be skippered by Corrie Ndaba, have already confirmed top spot in the Professional Development League Two South table and a place in the end-of-season play-offs with the semi-final set to be played at home.
Gerard Nash and Chris Hogg’s side, who were beaten 3-0 by a very strong Leeds team earlier this week, are at home again on Monday when they face Nottingham Forest in their final league fixture at Portman Road (KO 7pm).
