Town Release New Kits - Ipswich Town News

Town have unveiled their new home and away kits for the 2019/20 season with the strips available for pre-order from 10am this morning.

The traditionally blue home shirt features a subtle chevron effect on the front, white detailing on a round collar and sleeves, as well as the adidas three stripes.

It also bears a monochrome version of the logo of sponsors Magical Vegas, along with the usual white shorts - with a blue trim rather than this year’s red - with Nicholas Estates again the back of short sponsor, and blue shorts.

The away kit is inspired by the 2015/16 ‘Barcelona’ kit in burgundy with navy stripes on the shirt and yellow trim. Again the Magical Vegas logo is in monochrome.

When previously released Town were only able to use the kit on a couple of occasions due to the blue shorts and socks clashing with opposition sides with predominently Blue kits.

The following season burgundy shorts and socks were introduced and it was used as a third kit with less of a problem.

The goalkeeper kits are in camouflage-inspired prints. The home kit is grey, while the away is green, both with black trim.

"We’re really pleased with all the kits and training range for 2019/20. They’ve had a great reaction from the manager and players already.” director of retail operations Lee Hyde told the club site.

The kits will again carry the EFL names and numbers as well as the name of the mental health charity Mind, which fans can have added to their shirts if they wish.

Supporters wanting to add a custom name or number to their shirt can do so when pre-ordering.

However, as in previous seasons, no orders for shirts with player names and numbers will be processed until the release of the 2019/20 squad numbers.

The kits can be pre-ordered from 10am this morning via Planet Blue. Anyone pre-ordering prior to 3.00pm on Wednesday 3rd July will be entered into a prize draw to win one of a number of prizes: A 2019/20 season ticket, a visit to a first-team training session at Playford Road with an opportunity to meet the manager and squad or one of 10 home shirts signed by the first team squad.

Pre-ordered kit will arrive with fans up to 48 hours prior to the release for general sale.

Thursday 13th June - Home kit pre-order collection/delivery
Saturday 15th June - Home kit available on general sale
Thursday 4th July - Away kit pre-order collection/delivery
Saturday 6th July - Away Kit available on general sale

Fans wanting to take a look at the new kits can do so from 10am at Planet Blue and in Town's marquee at the Suffolk Show on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th May.
