Downes Withdrawn From England U20s Toulon Squad - Ipswich Town News

Blues midfielder Flynn Downes was withdrawn from the England U20s squad for the Maurice Revello Tournament in Toulon next month, TWTD understands.

Downes, who has been capped twice at U20s level, was initially named in the squad prior to its public announcement this morning but was pulled out by Town to allow the 20-year-old to recover from an ongoing minor injury over the summer.

We understand Andre Dozzell is currently on the standby list, while ex-Blues loanee Trevoh Chalobah is in Paul Simpson’s party, who face Japan, Portugal and Chile in the group stages.
