Rovers Game Moves - Ipswich Town News
Town's Wednesday friendly with Bristol Rovers has moved to the Hand Stadium, Clevedon. Rovers report that their Memorial Ground pitch is not yet ready for action.
Gasheads' Stadium Manager Ian Holtby said: "We want the pitch to be in perfect condition in time of our first home game on 13th August.
"At the moment we have concerns over certain areas, and we feel it would be detrimental to the full recovery and re-growth process to play a game on it at this stage.
"Using the pitch at the moment could make for problems once the season has started, and that is something we wish to avoid."
The match remains a 7.45 kick-off.
