Wright Stalling on Move - Ipswich Town News
Richard Wright has asked for 24 hours to consider whether to move to Everton after agreeing terms ay Goodison Park. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged Wright to remain at Highbury, and has perhaps given the keeper something to think about.
Everton manager David Moyes says he is confident the move will take place: "He is having a medical but the player wants a day to think things over to make sure the decision is right for his family to move up.
"Hopefully we will have a decision sometime tomorrow.
"I am hopeful but I want people to come to Everton because I they think it is the right place to play their football and there will certainly be no pressure for me.
"I have done my talking with him and I think, and hope, that he will see this as the move which he needs to make to become the next England goalkeeper."
However, Arsene Wenger is keen that Wright should remain in North London: "I want Richard to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place but he has decided to look elsewhere.
"That's his choice. His future is in his own hands. I don't want him to leave. I've told him that."
