Town’s squad returned to the club this morning for the start of pre-season training with keeper Bartosz Bialkowski among those back at Playford Road.
The Polish international’s move to Millwall, which was thought likely to be completed late last week after the clubs agreed a fee and he underwent a medical, is understood to still be ongoing with some aspects of the switch still to be thrashed out.
Today sees the players undergo testing before the sessions proper get under way tomorrow when the annual press call is also set to take place.
New striker James Norwood is absent having been given additional time off having been involved in the play-offs with Tranmere, as has midfielder Alan Judge, who was with the Republic of Ireland squad until a fortnight ago and also currently has a broken arm.
Midfielder Emyr Huws, who missed all of last season due to injury, was among those taking part.
Manager Paul Lambert and his staff were back at the club yesterday for a meeting as they plan for Town’s first campaign in the third tier in 62 years.
