Webster on Wright - Ipswich Town News
Town keeper coach Malcolm Webster says that Richard Wright is likely to have become fed-up with sitting on the bench when at Arsenal. The former Town keeper is set to make a £3.5m move to Everton in the next day or so.
Webster says: "Richard thrives on games. At Arsenal he's been mainly in reserve apart from the cup games. Richard loves training as well as playing. At Arsenal they don't train in the afternoons and this didn't suit him."
The man who coached Wright for many years says he still expects the 24-year-old to inherit one jersey from David Seaman: "He'll still be England's number one. Make no mistake about that."
