U23s in Action at Coggeshall - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U23s get their pre-season programme under way when they face Coggeshall Town in the now annual friendly at their West Street home on Saturday afternoon (KO 3pm).

Coggeshall chairman Graeme Smith’s company Chelmsford Plastic Warehouse is a sponsor of the Blues’ academy.

Last summer, the Town youngsters were beaten 2-1 by the Bostik North side with Armando Dobra, who is currently with the first team in Germany, netting for the team coached by Gerard Nash (pictured) and Chris Hogg.

Pop star Olly Murs is a co-owner of the club and featured for the Seedgrowers in the 2016 friendly between the clubs.

Admission is £5 for adults and free for children with tickets available on the turnstiles.

Food and drink will be available at the game with gates opening at 1pm, while there is parking at the ground, although early arrival will be required to secure a spot.

Meanwhile, the U18s, who beat Brighton 5-0 at home earlier in the week, are in action at Reading in a behind-closed-doors game.
