Walker: Bart Has Dealt With Tough Year Really Well - Ipswich Town News
Keeper-coach Jimmy Walker says Bartosz Bialkowski has dealt with what's been tough year for him really well and came back for pre-season training in great shape.
Poland international Bialkowski, the club’s Player of the Year for three seasons, had a disappointing 2018/19 campaign and then saw a move to Millwall break down towards the end of last month.
"There was a lot of speculation about him in the summer and I wasn’t sure how he would come back when we returned to training but he’s been great,” Walker told iFollow Ipswich.""
"He has dealt with everything really well. He’s had a tough year or so. There has been so much going on for him in his head.
"""He didn’t reach the standards he set for himself last season and that disappointed him more than anyone else.
"We all know Bart’s qualities and if he can get back to that level that will be fantastic for everyone.""
"He has come back in great shape and from a selfish point of view, I’m delighted because with Tomas [Holy] it gives me two fantastic keepers pushing for a first-team place.”"
