Much-Changed Team at Notts County - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Paul Lambert says he’ll field a much-changed XI in the Blues’ penultimate friendly at Notts County on Tuesday evening (KO 7pm).

"We had six or seven players who got a lot of minutes against Colchester on Friday, some of them 90 minutes,” Lambert told the club site.

"We will change it around tomorrow and give a chance to other players to get minutes under their belt.

"Emyr Huws, for one, did well against Colchester in the half hour or so he was on and it’s important that we give everyone a good run out where we can.”

Among those starting is likely to be keeper Bartosz Bialkowski, who joined Town from the Magpies in the summer of 2014.

Midfielder Cole Skuse, who missed out in the 5-0 defeat of the U’s due to a minor hip problem, could return, but Alan Judge is again unlikely to be involved as he continues his recovery from his broken wrist.

The Republic of Ireland international, who is the subject of strong interest from QPR, is due to see a specialist this week.

We have had confirmation from Notts County that they will be selling to ITFC supporters on CASH turnstiles on Tuesday 23rd July from 5:30pm with a £2 price increase (U12 & U7 excluded). Gwion Edwards is making progress after his groin problem but is also not expected to be involved yet, while Jon Nolan still hasn’t trained due to the calf problem he suffered at the end of last season.

Teddy Bishop (knee), Jack Lankester (back) and Toto Nsiala (hamstring) are all out until the season proper.

Following tomorrow’s game against County, who were relegated to the Vanarama National League for the first time in May and are close to being taken over, the Blues play their final match of pre-season at Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon (KO 1pm).
