Enquiries But No Offers - Ipswich Town News

Town chairman David Sheepshanks says the club have had a number of enquiries regarding players recently, but no firm offers. Yesterday Hermann Hreidarsson's agent Peter Harrison revealed that a number of Premiership clubs are interested in his player.

Sheepshanks said: "There is interest bubbling but no more than that at the moment."

Hreidarsson, presumably the subject of a lot of that interest, said in the wake of his agent's statement: "I enjoy it here and all the time I am here I will give my all."

The Town defender is not the only player represented by Harrison who is the subject of speculation at present. Eidur Gudjohnsen's name is appearing in the papers a fair amount with Harrison claiming the striker is on a lower wage than other Chelsea players. There has also been talk of a possible move for the former Bolton man.

With the transfer window in operation for the first time this year, August could be the month when the majority of the summer's transfers take place.
