Blues manager Paul Lambert confirmed that midfielder Alan Judge has indicated that he wants to join QPR, who have made two bids for the Republic of Ireland international.
The West Londoners, who are managed by Judge’s former Brentford boss Mark Warburton, have had offers of £250,000 and £450,000 rebuffed by the Blues.
"Judge has spoken to me and I think he would like to go, it's his prerogative to say what he wants to do,” Lambert said.
"I don't know, I'm not sure with it. He's spoken to me and I guess it's over to Judgey and see what he wants to do and if he just let us know one way or another but I think he wants to. I really don't know at this minute.”
QPR have until the Championship transfer window closes on August 8th to continue their pursuit of 30-year-old Judge, who only signed a new two-year deal with the Blues in April.
Lambert has previously described the Dubliner as a key man and he says he will be an important player if he remains at Portman Road after the deadline.
"He has to be, there's no two ways,” the Town manager added. "If you're here, you have to play your absolute heart for the club, we have a big fan base behind us.
"But I think he's got to be clear in his own head. I think at the minute he's up and down with it. He's done well for us last season. I've had chats with him and he's indicated that he'd like the opportunity.”
