MacAnthony: Town Owner Evans Called Fry - Ipswich Town News

Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has revealed Blues owner Marcus Evans spoke with Posh director of football Barry Fry on Sunday.

MacAnthony tweeted that Evans spoke to Fry as he searches for additions to the Town squad, however, he appeared to play down the suggestion that he was showing interest in Peterborough players, believing it was a more general chat, with the pair known to talk.

Town boss Paul Lambert said recently he hoped to make three permanent signings with the Blues having until September 2nd to add to the squad.

I do know Marcus was on phone with Barry yesterday having a chat. And I do know he is looking to sign some players for your manager 👍🏻. https://t.co/uWnZwzSfXU– Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) August 5, 2019
