Concourse Bar Speed of Service Among Improvements at Portman Road - Ipswich Town News
Town have made a number of changes aimed at improving the speed of service at the concourse bars and food kiosks on matchdays.
The speed of service fared poorly in this summer’s TWTD Questionnaire with concourse catering provider Centerplate interested to read the results.
The club say the changes are part of wider work at Portman Road: "The improvements follow investment in a new CCTV system at the stadium and a new look ticket office, with plans to clean the roof of each stand starting with Sir Bobby’s and an upgrade of the PA system, with a number of other projects in the pipeline.
"The focus recently has been on the concourses, with an upgraded till system implemented throughout the stadium which will improve the speed of service at outlets.
"Additional credit card payment facilities at kiosks and bars have been added to further increase the speed of service.
"Digital menu boards have been installed in all home bars, providing the ability to rotate menus and add new menu items through the season.
"""For the first game of the campaign at home to Sunderland, a vegan sausage roll makes its debut at Portman Road, available at all kiosks with gluten-free options to follow in the coming weeks.”
