Sections of Ground Closed for Leasing.com Trophy Tie - Ipswich Town News
Town are selling tickets in limited areas of Portman Road for the Leasing.com Trophy tie against Tottenham’s U21s on Tuesday 3rd September (KO 7.45pm).
Seats are only on sale - from Planet Blue and ITFC Direct - in the lower tier of the Sir Bobby Robson Stand and the two lower tiers of the East of England Co-op Stand with further sections made available if required.
Crowds have been very low across the board for the Leasing.com Trophy, previously the Checkatrade Trophy, particularly those games featuring U21 sides.
Following the club's first-ever match in the competition against the Spurs youngsters, the Blues will host Gillingham on Tuesday 8th October (KO 7.45pm) and will travel to face Colchester United at the JobServe Community Stadium on Tuesday 12th November (KO 7.30pm).
The club has confirmed that prices for the two Portman Road matches will be £10 for adults, £5 for 65+ and under-23s and £1 for under-19s.
Town have previously closed sections of the ground for games in other cup competitions, most recently the FA Cup third round tie against Sheffield United in January 2018.
