Richards in Squad - Ipswich Town News

Youngster Matt Richards is a surprise inclusion in the first-team squad travelling to Brentford on Wednesday night (KO 7.45pm). The left-back has been impressive in Town's reserve friendlies so far this season and is highly-rated at Portman Road.

Richards became a reserve regular last year while a member of the Academy U17s. He has played beyond his years and has rarely looked out of his depth alongside more senior players.

Richards, from Harlow, was involved in last night's semi-first-team friendly at Barnet where he started at full-back and ended the game at the left of midfield.

Also called-up is South African central defender and reserves captain Justin Miller.

Squad: Marshall, Pullen, Wilnis, Clapham, McGreal, Hreidarsson, Brown, T Miller, Holland, Magilton, J Miller, Reuser, George, Stewart, D Bent, M Bent, Couñago, Richards and Naylor.
