Keane and Nolan in U23s Facing Leeds - Ipswich Town News
Will Keane and Jon Nolan are expected to play for the Blues’ U23s in Friday afternoon’s opening home game of the season against Leeds United at Playford Road (KO 1pm).
Keane, who rejoined Town on Tuesday, is continuing his recovery from surgery following his hamstring surgery at the end of last season. Speaking earlier in the week, the former loanee said he expected to play two U23s games before he is ready for first-team action.
Nolan, who is on his way back from the calf injury he suffered towards the end of last season, will be playing his second U23s match having played 45 minutes of last week’s 2-1 defeat at Hull City.
