Lambert Could Make Further Additions - Ipswich Town News
Blues boss Paul Lambert says this week’s three signings might not be the end of Town’s summer business with the transfer window closing for League One and Two clubs on September 2nd.
Kane Vincent-Young, Anthony Georgiou and Will Keane joined the squad earlier this week and he says if the right players become available there might be further additions.
"If people come up and I think it’s going to benefit the team and the club, then we’ll look at it,” he said. "We’ve still got another few days to go.”
Having added players to his squad, might some of the fringe players now go out on loan? "I don’t know, I really don’t know. Number one, somebody’s got to want them, somebody’s got to pick up the phone. But I don’t know, I’ll decide.”
Asked whether Bolton keeper Remi Matthews was among his targets earlier in the summer, Lambert dismissed the link: "No.”
Adding: "Remi I knew at Norwich, he was only a kid at Norwich and he did really well there, and he's done well at Bolton every time I've seen him play.”
