Rochdale Visit Rescheduled - Ipswich Town News

Town have confirmed that the game at Rochdale a week on Saturday has been postponed due to international calls with The Blues' first ever fixture at Spotland now sent to be played on Tuesday 5th November (KO 7.45pm).

Town have had the requisite three players called up and, as had been expected, have opted to have the game put back.

As previously reported, Anthony Georgiou, on loan from Tottenham, has been named in the Cyprus squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers at home to Kazakhstan on September 6th and in San Marino three days later, while Armando Dobra is in the Albania U19 squad for two friendlies against Bosnia and Herzegovina on September 7th and 9th.

On Monday we revealed that Idris El Mizouni will be with the Tunisia U23s for their Africa Cup of Nations games against Cameroon, while Alan Judge had previously been named in the provisional Republic of Ireland squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Switzerland on September 5th and Bulgaria four days later with the squad set to be finalised this week.

Additionally. Flynn Downes and Andre Dozzell are expected to be named in the England U20s squad for their games against Holland and Switzerland." That squad is also set to be named this week.

Young keeper Adam Przybek, who is yet to be involved in the first team since joining Town from West Brom in the summer, has been named in the Wales U21s.

Town’s home game against Wycombe on October 12th and the visit to Oxford on November 16th could also be subject to postponement due to international calls.

Returning striker George Hirst put the Blues in front in the 19th minute but the Tigers levelled on 40 through Ozan Tufan before Omari Hutchinson put Town back ahead with the first of two brilliant goals. However, Hull equalised again through Liam Delap in the 56th minute, then Hutchinson’s second put the Blues ahead again, however, Tigers sub Noah Ohio grabbed a point for the East Yorkshire side with three minutes remaining and the Blues were unable to take late chances to win it.
