Judge Confirmed in Ireland Squad - Ipswich Town News
Blues midfielder Alan Judge has been confirmed in the final 25-man Republic of Ireland squad for next month's matches against Switzerland and Bulgaria.
Former Town boss Mick McCarthy, who was at the Blues’ recent Carabao Cup tie at Luton, initially named a 40-man provisional party for the Euro 2020 qualifier against the Swiss at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Thursday 5th September and a friendly with the Bulgarians at the same venue on Tuesday 10th September.
Judge, 30, has previously won six full caps and has scored one international goal. Also in the final squad are ex-Blues David McGoldrick and Conor Hourihane.
Yesterday, Town confirmed that their League One game at Rochdale which clashes with the international fixtures has been called off due to players being away with squads. The Blues’ first ever match at Spotland will now be played on Tuesday 5th November.
