Town’s U23s face Birmingham City at the Midlanders’ Trillion Trophy Training Centre this afternoon (KO 1.30pm).
No senior players are expected to be involved with Jon Nolan and Will Keane more likely to play in the Leasing.com Trophy game at home to Tottenham’s U21s on Tuesday.
The U23s, whose manager Gerard Nash (pictured above with assistant Chris Hogg) is in contention to become the manager of St Patrick’s Athletic in his native Dublin, have lost their opening two games of the season.
U23s: Przybek, Cotter, Heaven, Ndaba, Clements (c), Crowe, Scott, Dobra, K Brown, Z Brown, Simpson. Subs: Alley, Fehrenbach, T Smith, Baker.
