Lambert: Could Still Be Ins and Outs Before Deadline - Ipswich Town News

Blues boss Paul Lambert still hasn’t ruled out there being some transfer business at Portman Road before Monday’s 5pm deadline.

League One and Two clubs have until then to make additions, although the Blues could still send younger players out to the National League on loan after that date.

"We have to wait and see,” Lambert said when asked if there could still be ins or outs.

"Maybe, maybe it might happen but nobody knows at the minute. I’m pretty sure that in the next 48 hours or so, if things do move they’ll move.

"If I think it’s right and it’s the right move for the club then we’ll look at it but everybody is starting to get there and I’m happy with the squad the way it is.”

Meanwhile, Lambert says there were simply too many players out on international duty for next week’s game at Rochdale to go ahead.

With more than three players away, Town took the option to have that game postponed and the Blues will now make their first visit to Spotland on Tuesday 5th November.

"We’ve got too many lads away and as I say every week we have so many games coming up,” he said.

"The lads are away and in every game we play I want us to be at our strongest. I don’t want to go in with any weak situations so the decision was to call the game off.”
