Norwood Mania Wrestling Event in Harwich - Ipswich Town News
Town striker James Norwood’s first foray into the world of wrestling - aside from his famed goal celebration GIFs - will take place in Harwich on Wednesday 18th September.
Norwood Mania is being organised by the International Pro Wrestling League and takes place at the Kingsway Hall in Harwich (6.30pm doors, 7pm bell).
The event, which features six live matches and a raffle, is raising money for Cancer Research with further information and tickets available here.
The striker, whose wrestling-themed celebration GIFs have gained international attention this season, explained how Norwood Mania came about when speaking on the Sky Sports WWE Lock Up podcast last week.
"I've been invited onto a wrestling show as a guest enforcer in a couple of weeks," he said.
"Somebody came to me and said they would put on an event for a charity of my choice and I said I'd love to do it for Cancer Research. He said we can do 10 matches and it would be somewhere near Ipswich.”
