Team-mate on Frandsen - Ipswich Town News

Thomas Frandsen's Viborg team-mate Sasho Petrovski says the rest of the squad are well aware of Town's interest in the Danish international, but have not pressed him to find out how he feels about the situation.

Australian Petrovski, a former player at Alan Brazil's old club Wollongong Wolves, said: "Yeah, the newspapers have been full of the news over the past couple of days.

"None of us have pushed Tommy into finding out what he's thinking. But he'll be a big loss for us if Ipswich do make an offer.

"He's probably the best defender in the country and Ipswich's interest really shows why we all were shocked when he missed out on the World Cup squad."

Although Petrovski points to his defensive qualities, it is in midfield where Frandsen plays most of his games. It seems likely that the 26-year-old would be the Blues' replacement for Matt Holland if they have to sell their skipper.
