Young Town XI in Cup Action at Needham Market - Ipswich Town News

A Town XI is in Turners Hyundai Suffolk Premier Cup first round action at Needham Market this evening (KO 7.45pm).

The Blues line-up will essentially be an U18s team but with Tommy Hughes, who will be playing his first game after breaking his leg in the U23s match against Sheffield Wednesday in March, and midfielder Lounes Foudil (pictured) involved.

The winners this evening will face a trip to Haverhill in the second round for a tie which will be played on Tuesday 8th or Wednesday 9th October.

Last season, Town were knocked out of the competition at the semi-final stage by Leiston.
