Huws Starts as Blues Switch to 3-5-2 at MK Dons - Ipswich Town News

Town are set to switch to a 3-5-2 formation as they face the MK Dons at Stadium MK.

Emyr Huws, James Wilson, Luke Garbutt and Jon Nolan return to the team for Myles Kenlock, who is left out of the 18, Luke Woolfenden, Gwion Edwards and Alan Judge, who are all on the bench.

Huws, making his first league start since the final day of the 2016/17 season, is set to be at the centre of the midfield alongside Flynn Downes with Nolan ahead of them behind strike pair James Norwood and Kayden Jackson.

Cole Skuse moves to the centre of the back three - a role he occupied at Sheffield United in last season's penultimate game - as Town match the Dons' usual system with Wilson to his left and skipper Chambers to his right with Garbutt and Kane Vincent-Young the full-backs.

MK Dons: Nicholls, Williams, Walsh, Houghton, Poole, Martin, McGrandles, Kasumu, Boateng, Dickenson, Nombe. Subs: Moore, Brittain, Lewington, Gilbey, Harley, Bowery, Agard.

Town: Holy, Chambers (c), Skuse, Wilson, Vincent-Young, Downes, Huws, Garbutt, Nolan, Jackson, Norwood. Subs: Norris, Edwards, Judge, Dozzell, Woolfenden, Georgiou, Keane. Ref: Lee Swabey (Devon).
