U18s Win at Bildeston - Ipswich Town News
A young Town U18 side progressed to the second round of the CNet Training Suffolk FA Senior Cup with a 1-0 win at Bildeston Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
Coach Adem Atay, who was only registered to play during the week, named himself as the only Blues sub with the club unable to use any players who had appeared in the midweek defeat at Needham Market in the Suffolk Premier Cup.
The Blues scored what proved to be the winner two minutes after the break when a good cross from Nyan Mesuria on the right was volleyed in from close range by Harley Curtis (pictured).
On 78 Town defender Louie Fehrenbach got back well to divert Daryl Alexander's effort onto his own bar before the ball was cleared to safety, five minutes before Matt Healy released Ola Bello at the other end and the striker's looped effort rebounded off the woodwork.
U18s: Bort, Wyss, Alexander, Healy, Fehrenbach, Baggott, Clifford, Baker, Curtis, Mesuria, Bello. Unused: Atay.
