Garbutt, Nsiala, Georgiou and Folami in U23s Facing Charlton - Ipswich Town News

Luke Garbutt, Toto Nsiala and Ben Folami are set to continue their comebacks from injury when they feature for the U23s against Charlton Athletic at Portman Road this evening, while loan winger Anthony Georgiou will also be involved (KO 7pm).

Garbutt missed a month of the season before returning for last Tuesday’s 1-0 win away against the MK Dons, but was left on the bench for Saturday’s victory by the same scoreline at Gillingham.

Nsiala will be playing his third U23s game having injured his hamstring during the Interwetten Cup pre-season tournament in Meppen.

The centre-half travelled with the first team to Gillingham and was put through his paces on the Priesfield Stadium pitch prior to kick-off.

Young striker Ben Folami will also be playing his third U23s game having recovered from the achilles injury he suffered in January.

Cyprus international winger Georgiou is also set to play having featured for the first team only fleetingly since joining on loan from Spurs last month.

Town’s U23s are still looking for their first Professional Development League Two South points of the season and sit bottom of the table - which they topped last season - after five games. The Addicks are seventh having claimed five points from their five matches.

Admission is free for season ticket holders, while adult prices are otherwise £3 and concessions £1. The game will be broadcast live on Town’s Facebook page.

U23s: Wright, O'Reilly, Clements, Scott, Nsiala, Ndaba, Georgiou, El Mizouni, Roberts, Dobra, Garbutt. Subs: Egan, Cotter, McGavin, Folami, Simpson.
