Ambrose Has Staked Claim - Ipswich Town News
George Burley says that Darren Ambrose is in with a good chance of getting his first league start at Walsall next week. Ambrose scored two goals on Saturday as the Blues ran out 2-1 winners against Celta Vigo.
Burley said: "Ambrose has definitely staked a claim for a first-team start. His performances have merited it."
The Town boss has also been impressed with his defence, particularly Hermann Hreidarsson and John McGreal, and felt Justin Miller did well when he came on.
Up front, however, Burley felt his strikers should have taken more of their chances, particularly in the first half.
