Town's Academy sides were in friendly action this weekend and both sides scored four goals.
The U17s put four past Charlton who failed to reply. The Blues' goals coming from summer signing from Coventry Craig Reid, Daniel Flack and two from Blair Hammond.
A side largely made up of U19s plus rather older subs Bryan Klug and Steve Greaves from the coaching staff travelled to Great Wakering Rovers. The Blues won 4-1 with goals coming from Matt Robinson (pen), Robert Dickinson, Sam Morrow and Erdum Artun.
