Andre Dozzell and Flynn Downes both started as England’s U20s drew 2-2 in a friendly with Italy at Parma’s Ennio Tardini Stadium this afternoon.
Dozzell won his sixth U20s cap and Downes his third with England’s goals coming from Manchester United’s Angel Gomes, who put the Young Lions two in front before the Italians hit back twice to level.
The U20s are in friendly action again on Monday when they face the Czech Republic at Peterborough United’s London Road.
Elsewhere, Blues winger Anthony Georgiou was an unused sub as Cyprus won 2-1 away in Kazakhstan in a Euro 2020 qualifier.
