Ipswich Town Women progressed to the third round qualifying stage of the Women’s FA Cup after thrashing Royston Town 7-0 at Playford Road on Sunday afternoon.
Maddie Biggs opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with Eloise King doubling the lead a minute later.
King came close to her second when she hit the woodwork but the scoreline remained 2-0 at the break.
Biggs made it 3-0 with her second of the afternoon on the hour, then 10 minutes later skipper Amanda Crump made it four.
The fifth, a header from Lindsey Cooper, came four minutes later, and King claimed Town’s sixth and her second on 84 when she rebounded after Abbie Abrehart’s freekick had been saved.
A minute later, Crump, who was making her 200th appearance for the club, completed an emphatic victory for the Tractor Girls, who have now won their last eight in all competitions.
