David Burns, the Football League's chief executive, and Keith Harris, the chairman, have resigned in the wake of the loss of the High Court case against ITV Digital.
Burns and Harris have been on the end of criticism from a number of club
chairmen including Palace's Simon Jordan and Millwall's Theo Paphitis, who memorably said they "couldn't run a kebab shop".
Burns and Harris were due to face six club chairmen this morning to discuss the current malaise.
