Injuries Ahead of Walsall - Ipswich Town News

Finidi George is now thought a doubt for Saturday's opening league game of the season against Walsall. He joins a number of other players on the sidelines.

The Nigerian suffered a dead leg in the 2-1 win against Celta Vigo at the weekend which is still sore.

Mark Venus is on his way back from his calf injury but is not ready for first team action while Jermaine Wright is still not considered ready after undergoing an operation in the summer.

Also on the sidelines are Ulrich Le Pen (toe) and Thomas GaardsÃ¸e (groin).
