Dobra and Folami Called Up - Ipswich Town News

Armando Dobra and Ben Folami have been named in the Albania U19 and Australia U23 squads respectively.

Dobra, 18, who has previously won four U19s caps, will be with the Albanians for their European Championship qualifiers in Belgium when they take on Greece on Wednesday 13th November, the hosts three days later and Iceland on Tuesday 19th November.

As a result, the forward will miss the Leasing.com Trophy visit to Colchester on Tuesday 12th November.

Town’s game at Oxford on Saturday 16th November appears certain to be postponed due to call-ups.

Folami and the rest of the Olyroos squad will be in China for friendlies against Costa Rica, North Korea and the hosts.

The games are part of their preparations for the AFC U23 Championship in Thailand in January in which the Australian youngsters will face the hosts, Iraq and Bahrain in the group stage.

The competition doubles as the qualification process for the Olympics in Tokyo in the summer of 2020.

The 20-year-old striker recently won his first cap at U23 level in a 2-1 defeat to Iran in Doha, Qatar.
