U23s Defeated at Watford - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U23s were beaten 3-0 by Watford at St Albans City’s Clarence Park this afternoon.

Henry Wise gave the Hornets the lead a minute before half-time, then Joseph Hungbo made it 2-0 three minutes after the restart before Jayden Bennetts completed the scoring on 88.

The defeat ended a run of four games unbeaten for the U23s following a six-game streak of losses at the start of the campaign.

The U23s’ line-up again included trialist Joy Mukena as well as the likes of Ben Folami and Corrie Ndaba but no senior players.

U23s: Przybek, Fehrenbach, Clements, Ndaba, McGavin, Mukena, K Brown, Scott, El Mizouni, Folami, Hughes. Subs: Alley, Z Brown, Gibbs, O'Reilly, Simpson.
