Judge Confirmed in Ireland Squad - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Alan Judge has been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland squad for their international matches later this month.

Mick McCarthy’s Ireland play a friendly against the All Whites on Thursday 14th November then four days later take on the Danes in a vital final Euro 2020 qualifier. Both games are at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Judge, 30, has previously won eight full caps and has scored one international goal. Former Blues David McGoldrick, now with Sheffield United, and Conor Hourihane, currently with Aston Villa, have also been selected in the squad.

Earlier in the week Judge expressed his frustration regarding his performances for the Blues this season but even so has continued to be included in McCarthy's squads.

"I think the thing for Mick, every time I’ve played for Mick I’ve played well," he reflected.

"And I think Mick has been loyal, hopefully I’m in the squad come Thursday. I don’t think I’ve let Mick down when I’ve played for him, and hopefully long may that continue.”
