Town and Lincoln Ball One in Round Two Draw - Ipswich Town News

Town and Lincoln City will be ball one in the draw for the second round of the FA Cup which takes place on Monday evening.

The Blues and Imps drew 1-1 at Portman Road yesterday and will meet again in a replay at Sincil Bank on Wednesday 20th November (KO 7.45pm).

The draw will take place from 7pm at Oaklands Park, the home ground of Chichester City, who are the lowest-ranked club left in the competition, with Dion Dublin and Mark Bright pulling the balls from the bag. It will be broadcast live on BBC Two and the BBC iPlayer.

Second round ties will be played over the weekend of Saturday 30th November with winning clubs receiving £54,000 from the FA’s prize fund.

Among those in the draw are BetVictor Isthmian North Division Maldon & Tiptree, who are managed by former Blues defender Wayne Brown, who performed a notable giant-killing this afternoon when they beat League Two Leyton Orient 2-1 at Brisbane Road, despite playing the final six minutes with 10 men.

Town moved level on points with second-placed Leeds United following a pulsating 3-3 draw with Hull City at the MKM Stadium having been in front three times. Returning striker George Hirst put the Blues in front in the 19th minute but the Tigers levelled on 40 through Ozan Tufan before Omari Hutchinson put Town back ahead with the first of two brilliant goals. However, Hull equalised again through Liam Delap in the 56th minute, then Hutchinson’s second put the Blues ahead again, however, Tigers sub Noah Ohio grabbed a point for the East Yorkshire side with three minutes remaining and the Blues were unable to take late chances to win it.
