Coventry Cup Date Set - Ipswich Town News
Town, who face Lincoln City in an FA Cup first round replay at Sincil Bank next Wednesday, have confirmed that should they progress they will play Coventry City at St Andrew’s in the second round on Sunday 1st December with a 2pm kick-off.
The Sky Blues are sharing Birmingham City’s home ground this season and the Championship are hosting Millwall on the Saturday.
Coventry beat Colchester United 2-0 at the JobServe Community Stadium in round one on Saturday.
Town and Coventry have never previously met in the FA Cup, although they have drawn one another in the League Cup on four occasions, most recently in 2000 when the Blues won 2-1 at Portman Road, and once in the Simod Cup.
