Fortuna Blues Scarf Raising Funds for Beattie Memorabilia Cabinets - Ipswich Town News

The Fortuna Blues have produced a special commemorative scarf to raise fund for cabinets to house Town legend Kevin Beattie’s memorabilia in Beattie’s, the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand hospitality lounge recently renamed in the defender's honour.

The Fortuna Blues, fans of Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf, have become a familiar sight at Portman Road in recent years and many of them got to know Beattie during their trips, meeting up with him and chatting with him in the FanZone prior to matches.

This year they are making their annual pilgrimage to Portman Road for the Accrington game on Saturday 11th January when they will be wearing the newly-commissioned scarves as a memento.

An allocation of 100 scarves is available to Town fans via the SLO/Heritage Society hub in the FanZone ahead of the Blackpool home game and post-match in Beattie’s a week on Saturday at a cost of £10 each.

They scarves are selling quickly, so it may be necessary to order ahead of the game, which can be done by emailing itfcheritage@gmail.com with your name and the number of scarves required. Payment in cash will be taken at the game.

If you want a scarf but won’t be at the Blackpool game, email and a way of getting one to you will be found.
