Sheepshanks on Villa Link - Ipswich Town News
Town chairman David Sheepshanks has commented on stories linking Aston Villa with a move for Matt Holland. Villa manager Graham Taylor has admitted making an enquiry and was present at Walsall on Saturday.
Sheepshanks said: "I've heard all the speculation about Matt and I know that Graham was at our opening match of the season.
"But it doesn't mean for a moment that he was looking at Matt. At the end of the day, Villa have not made a bid, so all of this is purely speculation."
Earlier in the week Holland's agent Jonathan Barnett said he knew nothing of interest from Villa although he confirmed that Fulham had shown interest earlier in the summer.
