ITFC Women Hammer Chichester to Progress to FA Cup Round Three - Ipswich Town News

Ipswich Town Women progressed to round three of the FA Cup by smashing Chichester City Ladies 6-0 away at the Bunn Leisure Stadium this afternoon.

Lindsey Cooper headed the Blues into the lead in the ninth minute, then Paige Peake made it 2-0 from the penalty spot on 28.

Eight minutes later, Natasha Thomas added a brilliant third, catching the keeper off her line from 30 yards.

Just before the break, skipper Amanda Crump made it 4-0 with her 15th goal of the season.

Sophie Peskett added the fifth nine minutes after the restart and Thomas netted the Tractor Girls’ sixth and her second of the afternoon in the final minute to complete the scoring.

The draw for the third round will be made on Monday with the ties to be played on Sunday 5th January.

Teams from the Women's Super League and the Championship - the top two tiers - enter the competition in the fourth round.
